    Served daily from 12 noon, there’s nothing better than indulging in an Afternoon Tea. Think delicious sandwiches, savoury snacks, homemade sweet treats, and of course, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves.

    And we haven’t forgotten the little ones, we’ve crafted a special Kids’ Afternoon Tea for when they want to join in the fun. Packed with child-friendly Afternoon Tea favourites, it’s the perfect way to make it a family affair.

    All of our public areas, including the restaurant and bar are dog friendly!

    We have seven dog-friendly rooms available and you can add your fury-friend on to your booking by contacting our reservation team on 01200 407150 or emailing reservations@jamesplaces.co.uk. Please note, dogs are charged at £15 per night, per dog.

    Our main areas, including the restaurant and bar are fully accessible and suitable for wheelchair users and those with low mobility. There is also a disabled bathroom on the ground floor. If you are staying with us, we have a lift located on the ground floor that can access every floor.

    A few of our rooms have steps into rooms, therefore we ask that you contact our reservations team to book your stay so we can ensure you are allocated the correct room. You can contact them on 01200 407 150 or email reservations@jamesplaces.co.uk.

    There is no car parking at The Royal Hotel. There are local car parks around town, payable by cash, card or the pay by phone app. All of the car parks are free overnight from 6pm to 8am but payable at all other times. There is free parking at Devils bridge, about a 6 minute walk away.

    Locations: Market Square 79056, New Road 1 79057, New Road 2 79058. Parking can also be found at Dodgson Croft LA6 2AB, and Wellington Court LA6 2HQ.

    The Royal Hotel does have an electric car charging unit, however if you require this, please ask before your stay, as it is located in our staff parking area.

    Please note: There is no parking on the Square on Wednesday evenings due to the market.
