FAQs

What are the check in and check out times?

You can check into your room from 3pm, and check out is at 10.30am. Where possible, we will do our best to fulfil special requests and early check-ins where possible, however these cannot be guaranteed.

What are your breakfast service times?

Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30am Monday to Friday & 8am to 10am on Saturday & Sunday. Alternatively, we have a small breakfast menu available in the Food Hall Café which opens from 9am.

If you are on a Bed & Breakfast, or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package, breakfast will be included in your stay. If you are on a Room Only package, you can add breakfast onto your stay on arrival.

Are there any restaurants available to dine in?

Here at Holmes Mill we have two restaurants for you to choose from. Bowland Food Hall serves brunch and lunch seven days a week. Bowland Beer Hall has an unmissable selection of cask ale, lager and cider and serves a selection of crowd-pleasing classics like burgers, hot dog and pies. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

Do I have to make a bedroom reservation?

You can check our bedroom availability using the link above. Our rooms do get booked in advance, but for same day availability please call 01729 823814 and we can advise of any available rooms.

How dog friendly is The Spinning Block?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs in the Spinning Block Hotel, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Dogs are also not allowed in Bowland Social or Bowland Food Hall, but are allowed in the Beer Hall.

How accessible is Holmes Mill?

At Holmes Mill, we’re committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for every guest. Our venue offers step-free access throughout key public areas, lift access between floors, accessible toilets and accessible hotel bedrooms.

Our events team works closely with organisers to accommodate individual requirements, including room layouts, catering and dietary needs.

We continually invest in our facilities and staff training to ensure every guest receives professional, personalised service in an environment where everyone feels welcome.

Is there car parking at the hotel?

1823 Spinning Block doesn’t have dedicated parking for hotel guests; however, Holmes Mill operates a customer only pay & display car park.

The charges are as follows;

UP TO 3 HOURS – FREE WITHOUT A TICKET

UP TO 4 HOURS £3.00

UP TO 6 HOURS £6.00

UP TO 24 HOURS £10.00

Free parking for a maximum of 3 hours without needing to put your registration details into the parking meters.

If you wish to stay with us longer than 3 hours, you can put your details into the parking meters and pay for extra time. Please be aware, the ticket is valid from when you ENTERED the car park, not the time the ticket was purchased, due to the enforcement camera system.

In the event of the car park being full, we advise customers and visitors to use the long stay car parks located on Whalley Road or Mitchell Street.
