The bustling market town of Clitheroe is located in the picturesque Ribble Valley in Lancashire. Clitheroe is an ideal base for those looking to explore the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Clitheroe is home to a 12th Century Norman castle that looks over the town, though the town itself dates back to the Saxon times. Clitheroe Castle is one of the smallest Norman castles in England and is a must-see attraction when visiting Clitheroe, home to a museum and beautiful landscaped gardens. As well as the attractions, there are plenty of accommodation options in Clitheroe and lots of fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes. Plus Clitheroe and the surrounding Ribble Valley area are famous for weddings, recently featuring in the Channel W show, Wedding Valley.
