What made you choose Holmes Mill for your special day?
Me and my (now) husband David love beer! We wanted somewhere that screamed 'us'. Somewhere with a relaxed vibe that we could really make our own! As soon as we saw the Cotton Room we were in love! And can't forget the art deco wonderland of The Bar and Grill!

How was your experience with your wedding coordinator at Holmes Mill?
Planning our wedding with Holmes Mill couldn't have been easier. The team were amazing from start to finish and helped us so much! Because... Well we hadn't done this before! The communication was amazing throughout and the wedding team put us at so much ease. And no hidden costs! Big shout out to Jess, Libby and Grace! Who dealt with my frantic emails!

Who helped plan your wedding? Did anyone in particular bring your wedding to life?
Me and David did it ourselves! The most important thing to us was the wedding being totally us. However the team on the day did an amazing job at bringing that to life! Along with our amazing florist Olive Owl.

How did your wedding run on the day? Was there anybody who stood out?
Leyton and Stella were the dream team on the day! There wasn't a single thing they hadn't thought of! From Leyton coming to hype us up on the morning to Stella keeping me calm before making the big entrance! Absolutely incredible from start to finish they made it so I didn't have to think of a SINGLE thing all day.

Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?
We didn't have a colour scheme actually! We leant heavily into our love for music! And our colour 'vibe' was a gorgeous mix of pastel and bright summer colours!

Were there any extra special unique touches that you included in your day?
We opted for a celebrant wedding - the amazing Kick Ass Gatherings made our ceremony not only hilarious but so personal. We even played guess the quote - was David talking about Liverpool Football Club or me! We were obsessed with the personalised beer pump! We also had vinyl records for our table numbers with the seating plan being all our favourite albums! And who can forget dancing in the courtyard with the public enjoying a summer DJ set!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
I walked down the aisle to Marcus Mumfords version of You'll Never Walk Alone. This was a surprise for my husband... maybe I chose it because I knew he would cry?

Tell us about your entertainment on the day?
We had an amazing band for the evening for our very own indie disco! The Deadbeats came and played the night away! We also had a surprise special guest... by that it was a coincidence that M45DJ was playing outside in the Mill Yard. We even went down there for a boogie!

Who was your photographer? Why did you choose them?
We chose the amazing, incredible, stunning Esmewhitesidephotography to capture our day! We aren't the biggest fan of photos so it was so important to find someone to tell the story of our wedding through natural and candid shots. Esme even got us posing and the photos are incredible! As soon as we saw her moody and emotive style of photography we knew we needed her. I actually think I would have changed the wedding date if she wasn't free. It wouldn't feel right to not mention our amazing 'Wedding Film Maker' Patholtweddingfilms. Pat made us the most beautiful wedding film I have ever seen! And even better Pat and Esme were a DREAM TEAM! They both blended seamlessly into the background and captured the most amazing moments. You can really feel the love in every photo and every minute of the film!

What’s your favourite moment that was captured on camera and where was it taken?
Maybe I should say our first kiss? Or the perfect dip we did when exciting the ceremony but.... It HAS to be the courtyard dancing! Me.... in my dress.... with a pint doing what I love! Having a good old dance with my husband and all my loved ones!
