Set against the rolling Yorkshire Dales and filled with light, elegance and character, Falcon Manor was the perfect setting for Charlotte and Mackenzie’s intimate wedding celebration.
With just 30 guests, the couple chose a venue that felt warm, personal and perfectly sized, allowing every moment to feel meaningful. For Charlotte, the location held deep sentimental value, while the building itself immediately captured their hearts. From the striking staircase, made for unforgettable photography, to the blend of timeless charm and modern interiors, Falcon
Manor offered everything they were looking for. Add in a starry-night theme, a custom crescent moon and live music drifting through the rooms, and their day became a true reflection of both the couple and the venue.

About You
Please tell us a little about your relationship. How did you meet?
We met at sixth form when Charlotte moved over from a different school. We were friends for 2 years before deciding to further explore our relationship when we were 19. We had been together for 9 years when Mack proposed me!
About You
When, where and how was the marriage proposal?
The proposal took place on 14th June 2024, while on holiday, on Skala beach at sunset in Kefalonia. Mack told me the Greek myth of Psyche and Eros before getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him.
Your Venue
What made you choose our venue?
The location of the venue (Settle) has sentimental value to Charlotte, as her late grandad lived in the village during his childhood. Falcon Manor also had a beautiful blend of timeless class and elegance, as well as light and modern interior decor. The main staircase is stunning for photography and immediately captured our attention. As soon as we walked in, we could visualise ourselves getting married there. Furthermore, the venue was on the smaller side, which suited us as we only wanted 30 guests during the day and did not want the space to feel empty, which it didn't.
Your Venue
How was your experience with your Wedding Coordinator?
Katie was amazing, and we could not have done it without her on the run-up to the big day. She was great at answering our questions over email in a timely manner and made our meetings very straightforward.
Your Day
Who helped plan your wedding? Did anyone in particular bring your wedding to life?
From the start of the planning process, we had a very clear vision of what we wanted our day to look like. The venue lent itself to our vision, as well as our wonderful suppliers, Kole Events, who did our wedding decor. They really helped pull our vision together by creating a custom-made moon for us!
Your Day
How did your event run on the day? Was there anybody who stood out?
Our day ran almost smoothly. The registrars were running slightly behind schedule, but Charlotte was kept in the dark about this, which helped with nerves. Claire (our coordinator on the day) was efficient and approachable, and all the staff went above and beyond, so everyone had the best experience.
Your Theme
Did you have a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?
Our colours were navy blue, pale yellow and lilac, and our theme was celestial/starry night.
You Theme
Were there any extra special unique touches that you included in your day?
We had a custom-made crescent moon at the top of the aisle. We also made personalised menus, wedding newspapers, a stained glass welcome sign. We asked the DJ for an “emo hour” during the evening reception.
Entertainment
What song did you walk down the aisle to?
You’ll be in my heart by Phil Collins.
Entertainment
Tell us about your entertainment on the day?
We had a string quartet that played during the ceremony and throughout the drinks reception. We also had a photo booth during the evening reception.
Photography
Who was your photographer? Why did you choose them?
Jenna Kathleen. We first decided to enquire with Jenna as we were looking for a documentary-style photographer, and the photos in her portfolio are very vibrant and felt authentic. We decided to book with Jenna after a video call, as she came across as really genuine and passionate. Her approach to the day aligned with our expectations very well and we knew that she would capture our day the way we wanted.
Photography
What’s your favourite moment that was captured on camera and where was it taken?
We like our confetti shot on the stairs as we exit the building.
Final Comments
Would you like to leave us a quote to feature on our social media pages?
We had the most fabulous wedding day where the sun shone, the food and drinks were lush, and the staff did a phenomenal job. Falcon Manor offers a stunningly beautiful building with timeless elegance, and it made all of our wedding dreams come true.
