The Spinning Block is the perfect base for exploring Holmes Mill and the vibrant market town it calls home. Beyond the town fringes there is magnificent countryside in every direction. Rivers, valleys, hills and fells, villages and country pubs at every turn.
There is retail therapy aplenty if you need it, with lots of independent boutique and shops in Clitheroe and nearby Whalley. Plus there are plenty of coffee shops and tea rooms too.

Out & About
The classic circular of Pendle Hill. If you are only in the Pendle area for a short visit, then if you have the time and want to 'conquer' Pendle, then this circular is the walk to do. A gentle start to the walk past the Ogden reservoirs then leads into a grassy stroll before crossing bracken covered moorland. The climbing then starts in earnest, with ever expanding views afforded as more height gained. From the summit even Blackpool tower and the Lakeland fells can all be seen on a clear day.
